By using Vitalis you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. These terms apply to everyone who visits, including anonymous visitors.

Vitalis is a free, educational fitness and body health calculator. It uses published, widely accepted formulas (WHO BMI categories, Mifflin-St Jeor for BMR, the U.S. Navy method for body fat, and similar) to produce estimates from the numbers you enter, and it lets you keep a personal progress log in your own browser.

Vitalis is not a medical device or a medical service. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent anything, and it is not a substitute for professional advice from a doctor, dietitian, or trainer. Every figure shown is an estimate derived from population averages and may not reflect your individual physiology. Never delay or disregard professional medical advice because of something you saw here. If you are pregnant, under 18, an athlete with atypical body composition, or managing a health condition, treat the results with particular caution.

• Enter accurate information — inaccurate input produces meaningless output.
• Use the site for personal, lawful purposes only.
• Do not attempt to break, overload, scrape at scale, reverse-engineer access controls, or gain unauthorised entry to the owner area or the database.
• Do not submit content through the optional form that is unlawful, abusive, or that belongs to someone else without their permission.

Calculations run locally in your browser. We only receive personal information if you deliberately submit the optional form and tick the consent box. How we handle it, including our automatic 12-month deletion rule, is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Your progress history, measurements, and preferences live in your browser's local storage. They can be lost if you clear site data, use private browsing, switch browsers, or change devices. We hold no server copy and cannot restore them, so export anything you want to keep.

Vitalis is provided free of charge and “as is”. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it at any time, without notice, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

The design, text, code, and branding of Vitalis belong to its owner. The scientific formulas themselves are publicly published and are not claimed as ours. You may use the results for your own personal purposes; you may not copy the site or present it as your own product.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from your use of Vitalis or from reliance on its estimates, including decisions about diet, exercise, medication, or treatment. You use the site entirely at your own risk.

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows the current version, and continued use after an update means you accept it.

For questions about these terms, or to request deletion of a submission, use the message form on the results screen and we will respond within a reasonable period.
